Fake Fruit Interview

Posted on August 18, 2022

Fake Fruit

DJ Poindexter recently caught up with singer/guitarist, Hannah D’Amato, of Bay Area based band, Fake Fruit.  Tune in on Friday, August 19th @ 5PM to hear their conversation ahead of the band’s shows at August Hall in SF on Monday, August 22nd and The UC Theatre in Berkeley on Friday, August 26th.

Fake Fruit is comprised of Hannah D’Amato (vocals, guitar), Alex Post (guitar), Dylan Allard (bass), and Miles MacDiarmid (drums).  The band released their debut, self-titled album earlier this year on Rocks in Your Head Records.

Fake Fruit is detailed by D’Amato’s range of vocal affectations; acidic and confrontational, withdrawn and unamused, sweet and sorrowful. The arrangements bounce and sway with Post’s chorused guitar jabs, the rolling bass lines of Allard, and MacDiarmid’s relentlessly energetic drumming.
