She’ll be discussing her new book, Girl To City : A Memoir, which follows her progression from Elton John fan in the Pittsburgh suburbs to Manhattan art student; from punk show fan to fledgling musician to cult singer-songwriter. She’ll be reading and performing at The Starline Social Club’s Crystal Cavern in Oakland that evening.
