Tranquil Lakes formed in 2014 in Washington, D.C. after members were invited to play at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market. From the beginning, the band’s goal was to arrange uncomplicated songs with lyrics that were understated in their poetry. Guitars and vocals drive Tranquil Lakes’ melodies while the woody and melodic accordion hooks work as a Moog might in a synth band—cradling and encouraging the tone of our songs. Tranquil Lakes believe that you—unequivocally—deserve a life of dignity and happiness.
