Posted on March 13, 2024

On Thursday, March 28th @ 7:00 PM, join DJ Surface Tension as he airs his conversation with singer and musician Tom Brierley.

Begun as a solo DIY bedroom project during the pandemic, Brierley’s post-punk band Beige Banquet has since grown into a raucous quintet. Their sophomore effort, Ornamental Hermit, was just released on Tom’s own label Just Step Sideways, French label Swish Swash in Europe, and Future Shock in the states on March 13, 2024, and the band kicks off a 2-week tour of the UK and Europe on March 28th.

A prolific songwriter, Brierley has logged a stint in Australian band Noughts, put out a number of solo releases under different monikers, and plays bass in Tommy Cossack and the Degenerators, who will be releasing their new album, Agitator, on French label Swish Swash on May 3, 2024.

Tune in to catch a wide-ranging discussion mixed with songs from multiple projects, including sneak peeks from the most recent and forthcoming releases.
