The Undercover Dream Lovers Interview

Posted on March 12, 2024

Mastermind, Matt Koenig, peeking his head out of a bush outside.

Join ec0fr3ak on Wednesday, March 13th @ 2pm to hear an interview with writer and producer, Matt Koenig, of the L.A. based band, The Undercover Dream Lovers.  Catch them live in SF at Rickshaw Stop on March 16th.

The Undercover Dream Lovers is the brainchild of Matt Koenig. Immediately recognizable for his groovy bass lines, he produces and mixes all his own songs and writes the majority of them, from time to time inviting a friend into his project for a collaboration.

Originally from Pittsburgh, he has never signed with any label, navigating his career completely as an independent act. Citing his influences as Tame Impala, Parcels, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Daft Punk, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors, he sees himself as a bridge between eras, combining themes and techniques from the past with those pointing the way toward our future.

Latest album, Time Lapsed, is out now.
