What is innovation? What does it mean to innovate? Join us for a new episode of The Graduates on Tuesday, October 11th @ 9AM as host Tesla Monson speaks with Pierce Gordon of the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley and asks these questions and more!

Pierce’s work focuses on the evaluation of innovation practices for global development issues. In the interview, Pierce talks about what it means to be a design researcher, and his journey from aerospace engineering to practices in science and technology for global good. Pierce also discusses his work on various projects, including a deep-sand wheelchair for southern Africa.

The Graduates, highlighting graduate student research at Berkeley and around the world, is broadcast every other Tuesday at 9AM on KALX. Past episodes are available to listen and download free on iTunes or online.
