In addition to talking about how invasive red-eared sliders are impacting native Western pond turtles in nearby bodies of water, Max discusses his new role as a senior scientist with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. He also reflects on the path that led him there and the things he’s taken from his postdoc and his PhD.
