What’s in a tweet? On Tuesday, December 1st @ 9AM we speak with anthropologist Madza Farias Virgens about her research on songbirds and the evolution of human language. Madza’s work focuses on the genetic basis of bird song and its applications for understanding how humans learn to speak. In the interview, Madza also talks about her path from genetics and molecular biology to anthropology, and her journey from Brazil to UC Berkeley.
