Les Lullies Interview

Posted on May 13, 2024

B&W photo of the band outside.

Join Donut Monoxide on Wednesday, May 15th @ 4pm to hear her recent interview with T-Boy Sonet of French band Les Lullies.

The band was formed in 2016 by “four French cheese-eating attack monkeys”; T-Boy, Manah, Romeó and François. Influenced by such groups as the Real Kids, Radio Birdman, Les Dogs and Dead Moon, Les Lullies are Montpellier France’s very own rock’n’roll sweethearts.  They live by a simple creed: hop in the van, go everywhere and play rock’n’roll! They have been touring almost non-stop since the 2023 release of their second full-length LP on Slovenly Records, Mauvaise Foi.

Donut was lucky enough to catch up with T-Boy while the band was on a brief break from touring, and got the lowdown on a plethora of topics. Listen and learn about Les Lullies, as well as the history of French Rock n’ Roll & Punk, the pros and cons of signing in English vs French, and why bands from Boston Massachusetts have an outsized influence on Rock N’ Roll.  We’ll also learn what is really celebrated on “Bastille Day” and the true meaning of the phrase “Mauvaise Foi.” and more!  You do not want to miss it!
