San Francisco-based artist Namor released his first album, Mile High Club, on February 24th. With influences including Giorgio Moroder, Mike Dean, and Daft Punk, Namor has developed a versatile, Pop/R&B style of alternative production with electronic elements, gathering various vocalists to collaborate and shine on the silky-smooth tracks. This first album has a little bit of everything for everyone, as some songs follow the classic “four-on-the-floor” drum patterns and others dip into smooth hyperpop breakbeats. There’s a bit of middle-eastern influence sprinkled in some of the chord progressions, as those are Namor’s roots.
