They will explain the CalBug Project, which has teamed with Zooniverse to create an online citizen science project call “Notes from Nature” to help digitize the vast collection of bug specimens in nine California Natural History Museums. Spectrum guests for Friday, July 26th @ noon are Joan Ball and Peter Oboyski. Joan Ball is a UC Berkeley Graduate student in the College of Natural Resources. A focus of her research is on Dragon Flies. Peter Oboyski is Collections Manager & Sr. Museum Scientist at the UC Berkeley Essig Museum of Entomology.
