On Saturday, September 27th @ 11AM, Women Hold Up Half the Sky will be interviewing special guest Jessica Niello. Born in California and working in Oakland, Jessica works in clay and paint. Influenced by mid-century modernism, her work explores both functional vessels and abstract sculptural forms and installations. She continues to draw on a combination of eastern and western techniques and aesthetics as well as her love of the natural world. Her work is featured at restaurants and establishments all over the Bay Area and we will be interviewing her right before a gallery run of her latest collection at Ogaard Gallery in Oakland starting October 18th.
