Interview with Junglepussy

Posted on February 22, 2023

Junglepussy

On Friday, February 24th @ 12:30PM Babu speaks with NYC based artist, Junglepussy, ahead of her Noise Pop Festival appearance at The New Parish in Oakland on Sunday, February 26th.

Timely, revolutionary, mysterious and futuristic; Junglepussy is a rainbow. Bands of clever lyricism, quirky side characters, tropical flavor and leopard print stream from her psyche and experiences to form unabashedly individualistic bodies of work that leave you second-guessing.

Just when you think you know what to expect from her, it dawns on you that she’s been slowly peeling back the skin to reveal yet another layer. An artist, award-winning actress, and champion of Black wellness, Junglepussy has always marched to the beat of her own drum, which has brought admirers from all corners of the universe.
