Join DJ Charley Varrick on Tuesday, March 19th @ 3:30PM when he hosts Budapest based Gypsy jazz quartet, Hét Hat Club, for a live performance and interview.
The band is born from the meeting of the improvisation culture of Gypsy jazz from Django Reinhardt and the spirit of the wild Balkan party culture from Eastern Europe. The musicians of Hét Hat Club built a carefully selected repertoire: from the dense and lively folk traditions from Transylvania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Macedonia to energetic compositions that they are eager to share with the public.
