Dr. Jennifer King on Method to the Madness

Is it time to delete your social media accounts? Tune in to Method to the Madness on Friday, July 6th @ noon to hear host Lisa Kiefer interview Dr. Jennifer King. 

Dr. Jennifer King, Director of Consumer Privacy at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School, where she specializes in information privacy, technology policy, social computing, and human-computer interaction, will speak with host Lisa Kiefer about what is wrong with the current uncaring algorithms, unseen manipulation, and behavior modification techniques employed by the richest corporations in history. 

King is a a Ph.D candidate in information science at UC Berkeley’s School of Information. Her dissertation work is focused on how people make decisions to disclose their personal information to companies.  Formerly co-director of UC Berkeley’s Center for Technology, Society, & Policy, a student-led policy center at the ISchool, she is a social technologist, researching, analyzing, and solving technology problems.
