Oakland’s Dedications have been playing country-blues flavored indie rock’n’soul since 2003. Carver Cordes (The Shants, Unboyfriendables, Night Jerks) formed the group on the central coast of California before settling in the East Bay where he currently teaching music to elementary school kids with Three 0’Clock Rock and playing bass for Thee S’Lobsters and The Khan’s). Nina Violet (Kahoots, Willy Mason) is a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has sailed into the bay from the east coast in recent years and will be joining for an evening of song on KALX.
