On Monday, June 10th @ 7:45AM, DJ Massari hosts L.A. based musician, Davia Spain, for a live in-studio performance and interview ahead of her show at BAMPFA on Saturday, June 15th.
Having devoted the last seven years predominantly to dance and theater, Spain is returning to her roots in music, developing an immersive performance experience steeped in Afrofuturist traditions. Through music, movement, and spoken word, she reimagines the past, makes predictions of the future, and pulls possible outcomes into the present.
