Carrie Tribble on the Graduates

Tune in for another episode of The Graduates Tuesday, May 7th @ 9AM hosted by Ashely Smiley, as we speak with Carrie Tribble about her work studying Bomarea, a plant native to Central and South America. Carrie is a PhD candidate in the Department of Integrative Biology studying the evolutionary relationships in the Liliales order, abiotic interactions in plants, and root tubers. In the interview, Carrie talks about her past botany research experience, fieldwork, and phylogenetics. Carrie also discusses her love for botany and how she began to study plants. The Graduates, featuring graduate student research at Cal, is broadcast every other Tuesday on KALX 90.7 FM. This episode of The Graduates is hosted by Ashley Smiley, PhD candidate in the Department of Integrative Biology.
