Tune in on Tuesday, May 12th at 1pm to hear Moldy Fig speak with veteran publicist, talent manager, and film producer Alan Eichler.
Working in entertainment since the late 1960s, Eichler has spent decades championing legendary performers and preserving the legacy of classic music and film. Over the years, he has managed artists including Anita O’Day, Yma Sumac, Ruth Brown, Johnnie Ray, Patti Page, Eartha Kitt, and Maxene Andrews of The Andrews Sisters.
In this wide-ranging conversation, Eichler reflects on his lifelong love of old music, his experiences working behind the scenes in publicity and artist management, and his work producing films and theatrical projects. The interview also touches on his upcoming documentary, Mamie Exposed! The Life and Loves of the Last Blonde Bombshell, about Hollywood icon Mamie Van Doren, set for release later this year.
