DJ Penny Royal is in the captain’s chair for KALX Live! on Saturday, October 18th. She’ll be hosting super triad Pleeay! We dare you to try and do some homework before they hit the airwaves and breathe in their latest music that dropped earlier this summer below.
PLEEAY invites everybody to live loudly with compassion. PLEEAY’s sound feels as if Amyl and the Sniffers were dating Pixel Grip, and Annie Lennox is the cool mom who lets them hang out with the door closed. PLEEAY is composed of Pete (he/him) on bass, Huli (he/him) on drums and synth tracks, and Castle (they/them) on vocals and choreo. PLEEAY has opened for Pussy Riot, collaborated with San Francisco Ballet, and graced both the SF Pride Mainstage and the Folsom Street Music Stage. PLEEAY believes that when the world is falling apart, that’s the BEST time to dance like the FBI isn’t watching.
