Cat is a biological anthropologist who studies the postcranial skeletons of human and nonhuman primates. In the interview, she discusses her work before the COVID era, when she measured physical specimens in the National Museum of Ethiopia, as well as her work with digital data during the COVID era.

Tune in to The Graduates this Tuesday, 8/31 @ 9AM, for an interview with Nina Sokolov from the Department of Integrative Biology. Nina collects bees in the Sierras to try to figure out how viruses move between native and non-native species. She's just completed a long field season, and now she plans to spend time in the lab analyzing the virus samples she's collected. When she's not in the field or in the lab, she uses art to teach people about her research.

Kat is a paleontologist who studies the Great American Biotic Interchange, an event precipitated by the formation of the Isthmus of Panama about 2.7 million years ago. With the continents connected by land, animals from North America moved into South America and vice versa.

Kav is a contemporary Namibian artist who uses film to document social injustices. Although he initially came to the US to pursue an unrelated degree, he was inspired to take up a camera following Trayvon Martin's death and George Zimmerman's acquittal.
