Orbit 17 is an indie-rock band based in San Jose, CA. Founded by Jamie Brite, Misha Guiffre and Cliff Nichols in 2022, Orbit 17 exploits the capabilities of modern technology while remaining emotionally grounded and accessible. The music explores the conflict between the digital and the analog, and forces the two into an uneasy momentary harmony. Inspired by the psychedelic funk-fusion scene that Jamie grew up with, Orbit 17 drenches these roots in soaring synthesizers, ethereal vocals and raw, expressive guitar work.

Their upcoming album, set to release this summer, is filled with increasingly wild, sprawling and pissed off sounds. On Friday, April 28th @ 10AM PDT, Little Citrus sits down with Luz Elena Mendoza Ramos, lead vocalist and producer of eclectic indie folk pop band, Y La Bamba.
