On Monday, August 21st @ 10AM San Francisco-based clarinetist, singer, composer, and songwriter, Beth Custer, stops by the KALX studios to hang out with Sex 14's. Tune in to hear all about Custer's latest album, SKY, with guitarist Will Bernard.

DJ Sly Ida Hosts Bay Area Noisers Nine Dog Dick on KALX Live!
KALX Live! brings listeners another ear opening in-studio performance this Saturday, Aug. 19th at 9pm. DJ Sly Ida welcomes Nine Dog Dick to the KALX stage. This power quartet of psycho-spazz extreme music emanates from both sides of the Bay. The lineup includes Jay Korber on drums [Burmese], Tom Weeks on sax [Sato/Weeks], Matt Chandler on bass [Burmese] and Doug Katelus on organ [Solo Organ].

Tune in on Monday, August 7th @ 6:45PM to catch DJ Dokkaebi’s conversation with 악단광칠 (Ak-Dan Gwang-Chil) or ADG7. Dokkaebi sat down with three members of the nine-piece traditional Korean folk funk pop band to discuss the beginnings of their unique sound, historical background on the origins of Korean shamanistic ritual music and folk music, their music making process, and where they’re planning on taking their music.
