We'd like to say a hearty THANK YOU to all that supported KALX financially during our recent fundraiser! We can't do what we do without your support at kalx.berkeley.edu/donate!
You weren't just generous with your money, your kind words also sustain and motivate us. We feel your love! Here's a sample of what people had to say about why they give to KALX:
Sparkle Motion and Sex14's! Unbeatable team. Bravo Bravo.

KALX depends on you, the listener, for a significant portion of our operating funds! Please give what you can right now at kalx.berkeley.edu/donate! Thank you!

Did you know that KALX receives only a portion of its annual operating budget from the University of California, Berkeley? The rest of the budget, and that includes any hoped-for equipment upgrades, comes from you, our listeners. Projects we are working on right now that depend on listener support include the design of a new KALX website, replacing our obsolete and malfunctioning News Studio mixing board, and purchasing a new back-up transmitter to replace our old, tube-based transmitter from the 1970s. And that’s on top of our regular operating expenses.

KALX has been honored with three resolutions of support for our sixty years of service to the University and surrounding community. State Senator Nancy Skinner, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin, and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, all honored the station’s past with resolutions, proclamations, commendations, and good wishes for our continued success. We are grateful for their recognition and will strive to live up to our legacy and continue to improve upon it.
Ever hear a show on KALX that you wish you could hear again? Or perhaps you want to shift your listening to a favorite DJ to another time? Now you can! Thanks to the KALX Archive player, aka the Ark player, you can now hear any program on KALX for up to two weeks after it airs!
