L’Trimm is back – and louder than ever…on KALX this Saturday, July 19th at 10am with hosts Bartleby and Tuna Satana. Tune in to get the latest on the triumphant return of the pioneering Miami bass duo before they perform at Mosswood Meltdown on Sunday, July 20th at 1pm.
L’Trimm, made up of Lady Tigra and Bunny D, helped define a generation of Southern hip-hop with their playful swagger, high-energy beats, and ahead-of-their-time style.
Bursting onto the scene in the late ’80s with the cult classic “Cars That Go Boom” L’Trimm became one of the first all-female rap groups to make national waves, earning a gold record and lighting up stages with hip-hop legends like De La Soul and Biz Markie.
After years away from the spotlight, the duo is making a triumphant return. Reunited and re-energized, L’Trimm is bringing their signature bounce back to stages with a live show that fuses nostalgia with new fire. Their comeback is more than retro – it’s a reclaiming of space, power, and playfulness in hip-hop culture.
This weekend, they hit the stage at Mosswood Meltdown in Oakland, CA for one of their first live performances in over a decade. Still fierce. Still fresh. Still booming.
